LTI
Resort Punta Cana review : The Punta Cana LTI beach resort and Spa
is fortunate to be located on one of the most beautiful beaches
in the Dominican Republic Bavaro Beach; only 25 minutes from the
Punta Cana airport. This Caribbean paradise is a 4 star All-Inclusive
resort which houses 447 rooms ranging from standard, superior, family
suites to executive suites. Although we haven’t personally
stayed at this resort we have spent a day visiting and experiencing
the amenities LTI beach resort has to offer. At first sight, everything
seems and is breath taking! One can’t help but be romanced
by the beauty of the ocean and white pristine beach married with
the lush tropical landscape that exists throughout the resort grounds.
In addition to its beauty, the resort features four restaurants
either a la carte or buffet, four bars that include a swim-up bar
and disco, various water sports, a kids club, and a golf course
located near by. The resort also offers an exclusive area located
within LTI Beach Resort called the Cayena beach club that is only
accessible by Cayena beach club members. It consists of 47 junior
suites, a living area, free safety deposit box, a mini-bar that
includes beer, a fully equipped bathroom with Jacuzzi, and a private
pool area and sundeck.
Whether you are traveling with your family, as a couple
or on your own; the LTI beach resort promises to provide its clientele
with a memorable and exceptional holiday.
Room Amenities
LTI Resort Punta Cana review of the rooms:Since we did not personally
spend an over night at the LTI, most of the guests that we spoke
to agreed that the rooms were well kept with plenty of room. The
beds were average and less can be said about the pillows however,
this seems to be standard at most Caribbean resorts. We suggest
that if you’re picky about pillows, you might consider stowing
your own from home in your suit case. There is a mini-bar in every
room that is stocked with sodas and drinking water. You might have
to remind the room service to restock from time to time. The bathrooms
were clean and supplied with the usual shampoo, liquid soap, and
a hair dyer. The one down fall may be the lack of privacy, since
some of the bathrooms have a glass door that separates it from the
rest of the room. Not such a huge concern if you’re traveling
with family.
Restaurants
This resort offers both à la carte and buffet dining. The
El Mirado is the resort’s main restaurant which offers many
different foods to choose from that are often prepared to suit their
clientele’s individual tastes. The El Bucanero, La Tratorria
and the La Estrella del Mar are all à la carte restaurants
that offer either Italian ,Seafood and International cuisine. The
portions are not huge but you’ll definitely be pleased
by the presentation and the quality of the food. During
the lunch hour, the El Bucanero which is located by the beach prepares
hot dogs and french fries followed by a BBQ buffet feast. Remember
to book in advance for the à la carte restaurants
at the entrance of the El Mirado (the main restaurant) since space
is often limited.
Pools
LTI Resort Punta Cana review of the pool:The pool is beautiful
and huge. It is separated in two sections and connected
by a bridge. What is strikingly beautiful is the tropical landscape
that surrounds the pool. There is also a “kiddy pool”
section, plenty of available beach towels, lounge chairs and palapas
that provide shade and relief from the hot sun. However, you do
need to be an early bird to reserve a lounge chair in the shade
– same goes for the beach.
Activities & Spa
LTI
Resort Punta Cana review of activities:There are a ton of
land and water activities for everyone to enjoy.
If playing golf in the hot sun is you’re idea of a leisure
activity, the LTI will arrange a round of golf at any of the 9 courses
available in the area. Other land and beach activities include;
tennis, horseback riding, beach volleyball, soccer, dance lessons
and aerobics.
You must take advantage of the beauty that the Caribbean ocean has
to offer and what better way than snorkeling and scuba diving. There
is a reef located in front of the resort that attracts all sorts
of colourful underwater life. The usual 2 person kayaks and boogie
boards are also available. All the above mentioned water equipment
are free for LTI resort vacationers.
Remember to book your complementary half hour catamaran
boat ride at the water-sports area; it will surely be a
memorable moment.
Parents and children will also enjoy the playground, and babysitting
service available upon request.
While you’re staying at the LTI resort remember to take advantage
of the Spa treatment they offer. There’s nothing better than
a relaxing massage after a hard day spent at the beach, except if
you have a sun burn!
Tips for the LTI Resort Punta
Cana
- When you arrive (during check-in), remember to ask about booking
dinner at the à la carte restaurants. Men don’t forget
to pack at least one pair of dress pants since a dress code is
often required at the specialty restaurants.
- Pack some bug repellent and medication you might need since
it could become very expensive to purchase at the resort.
- For the more fussy sleepers, you might want to bring a pillow
from home since the resort pillows tend to be flat and less than
comfortable.
- Although there are many lounge chairs available on the beach
and by the pool, you may have to wake-up a bit early in order
to reserve a chair especially if you want shade or a palapa.
